Mazda Unveils Targa Tassie Devils 2008

Mazda Australia today whipped the covers off its brand new Mazda3 MPS rally car ahead of its motorsport debut at next week’s Targa Tasmania.
Australia’s top-selling importer will unleash two Mazda3 MPS rally cars on the country’s pre-eminent tarmac endurance event, held from April 15-20. Professional rally drivers Rick Bates and Alister McRae will spearhead the company’s eighth Targa campaign.

Next month one half of Mazda’s Australian Rally Championship (ARC) winning duo will reunite with the company for its two-pronged attack on the 2008 Targa Tasmania. Accomplished co-driver Iain Stewart, who won the ARC crown with expert driver Murray Coote for Mazda back in 1988, will be calling corners for Mazda Targa driver Alister McRae in the tarmac endurance event from April 15-20.
