Mazda’s Double Podium Delight At Targa Wrest Point
This weekend’s Targa Wrest Point rally saw Mazda notch up podium success with a win in the Showroom Category and an outright third position.
The husband and wife team of Simon and Sue Evans were comfortable winners in the Showroom category while Victorian-based siblings, Brendan Reeves and Rhianon Smyth showed their championship colours with a third outright in their first ever outing in the Mazda Motorsport RX-8 SP.

The second running of Targa High Country presented many challenges for the event’s 150 plus competitors who were faced with unseasonably hot weather.
But the four-time Australian Rally Champion duo were not to be deterred, rising to the challenge of Victoria’s open and flowing alpine roads spanning Mt Buller to King Valley.
